My daughter Lily recently made her First Holy Communion. Her only request was to have Lilies on her cake. I decided to make them more of a fantasy type Lily instead of the real deal. So I dusted them with Amethyst luster dust and used pearls for the stamens. The cake itself was a monster! It was 4 layers of cake alternating vanilla and chocolate with 3 layers of filling- whipped white chocolate ganache and chocolate ganache. When finished the base cake was nearly 6" tall. Lily loved her cake and had a beautiful Communion day.
